If you confess a mortal sin as doubtful (considering it doubtful at the time) and the after confession realise it was a certain mortal sin do you have to reconfess it at the next confession.

No. Absolution forgives all sins unless there was a deliberate, willful attempt to conceal sins (which would invalidate the whole Sacrament). If one’s conscience bothers him, he can mention the difficulty he’s having over past forgiven sins and ask for counsel, but absolution is absolute. 🙂

No. Once you confess it and are absolved, that sin is gone. You only have to re-confess mortal sins that were told in a bad confession.

I’ve read thru several of your threads now, I am curious about where you are in your faith journey? For example, my family and I are converts; however, my youngest is now a “cradle-Catholic.” 🙂
 
My personal view of it is that if it involved “grave/serious matter”, than confess it. Let God sort out your personal culpability at the time it was committed so it is in his hands and no longer on your heart.
