Hi guys does, confession of sin remove all sin, even serious SINS, Such as abortion, blasphemy of spirit, and thievery

Yes, If you confess it to a priest during the Sacrament of Confession, and you have told him ALL of your sins since your last confession.

If you confess your sins in the context of the Sacrament of Reconciliation, with contrition and the intent to avoid sin in the future, then yes – all sins may be absolved and therefore forgiven!

Wow, is it really gone gone though when you confess it like does god remember it, or will he allow you into purgatory to avoid hell.

He forgives and forgets the sin.

It seems you have an interesting understanding of what purgatory is?

Purgatory isn’t “a way to avoid hell.”

Purgation is for those who die in a state of grace (even if imperfect). So, if you have merely venial sin on your soul when you die, or if there is still ‘penance’ that you must perform (AKA “the temporal punishment of sin”), then purgation takes care of these kinds of perfecting of your soul. But, if you’re purgatory, you’re aren’t merely “getting away with a near brush with hell.” You’re already heaven-bound, but you’re becoming perfected prior to entering into the Beatific Vision.

I think there are sins that have to go “up the chain of command” because either a priest doesn’t have permission to forgive it or it is an excommunicable offense. Abortion carries an automatic excommunication, however all priests have been given power to lift that with the sacrament of reconciliation. Formal heresy, physically attacking the pope or clergy, attempting or even successfully ordaining bishops without the popes approval etc…

Even blasphemy of spirit
No. blasphemy of the Holy Spirit would not be forgiven. (Mt. 12:31)
It’s important to know what the sin of “blasphemy of the Holy Spirit” is. It’s the persistent (to death) refusal to repent of one’s sin, refusal to seek forgiveness. See the Catechism of the Catholic Church #1864.

So, you see, such a person would not be in Confession repenting and seeking forgiveness and thus could not be absolved through the sacrament of Confession.
