Confession Question ?

Hi
I was wondering if it is permissable to read off in list form during confessions?, for example i wrote a list using the ten commandments as a template and its quite long. Also confessions at my parish last only half an hour and i dont want to keep others back but you gotta confess what you have to confess. Do you think a preist would get angry due to a long confession?

If you feel that your confession might take longer than usual… I would suggest that you make a special appointment with your priest. They’re happy to hear confessions, by appointment. You should mention to him, that it will be a “long confession”. This will help him to understand your intent… and schedule you when he has plenty of time.

And sure, use a list if it will be helpful. I do it all the time!

Good idea! We suggest that to people in the RCIA who are nervous about making their first confession. :cool:
