Confession-sin question

Going to confession for the first time in a long time. Trying to get ahold of all the sins I need to confess. I am wondering, is it a sin not to bring my children to church every week? Of course that is because I have not been attending myself. They all went to ccd and received all their sacraments, but I only brought them to church occasionally. Now I have started to go back to church, and I wonder is this a sin that should be confessed? It’s been so long and I feel overwhelmed I don’t want to miss confessing any of my sins.

Yes, I would confess this. We, as Catholics, have an obligation to raise our children in the faith. Our children have an obligation to attend mass, just like you do, and since they can’t get themselves there, it isn’t their sin. So yup, confess it.

When you go to Confession, mention that it has been a while and the priest will help you sort through it all. When in doubt, it doesn’t hurt to bring it up in Confession (unless one is suffering from scrupulosity, but that’s another topic altogether).
 
I know that I am not the strongest father in the world, but is a sin for me to condone under my own household, my 24 year old daughter (a pagan) bringing her boyfriend to “sleep over” in her bedroom. I go to confession regularly, and should this be confessed?

It sure wouldn’'t hurt to confess it. Also, it is your house–you could request (require??) of her not to have her boyfriend “sleep over”. If she wants to do “that”, which from your question I assume you really do not condone, perhaps she should do it in her own home or at her boyfriend’s.

Even better, I wonder if you could discuss the virtues of chastity with her, even if she is a “pagan”?
