Confession validity question

In the past, I was unaware that in confession, we are required to mention the number of times we have committed each mortal sin, and as such, I only confessed the kind of sin but not the number.
So while I did deliberately omit that information, I did not know that I was supposed to provide it, although I certainly would have made some estimate if the priest asked for one.

Now I know I’m probably being scrupulous, but there is some small doubt in my mind as to whether or not these confessions were valid. My instinct would be to say that they are valid (since I did not know that I was supposed to confess the number and the priest did not ask me for that information), but hearing this from someone else would give me some peace of mind.

Your confession was valid. If the priest felt the number of times was important to what you confessed, he would have asked. Now that you know you are supposed to give the number of times, in the future you should. But even if you forget, the confession is still valid.

I believe your confession is good. God is not an accountant.

The important thing is if you can remember roughly how many times your sin occured, say it. Give an very rough estimate if possible (I did x often, on occassion I did y when I got mad).
