Confession

Hi everyone,
I went to Confession two days ago, but this morning i think i committed mortal sins of thought. I want to go to Confession tonight, but the priest i usually go to has told me to only go once a week because i’m scrupulous. but last time he said to go as soon as possible, but he didn’t really clarify and he was more just adding it to his main point so i’m not sure if i should take it literally. Any help appreciated.

If you experiencing thoughts beyond your control it isn’t a sin. You might want to consider consulting a psychiatrist.

I would say to go another priest and to ask him to help you with your scrupulosity. There are all kinds of thoughts that go through my head all the time and if I ever thought of confessing them- I wouldn’t leave the confessional! lol Honestly, it is important to find a religious to talk to about this. Oh yea, it’s a good idea to talk to another priest about what ‘being scrupulous’ means.
