Hey everyone
I need to get to confession because I commited a mortal sin last week. I was going to go Saturday but weather made that impossible. I tried to go this morning to make an appointment but No one was there( I guess they didnt have the normal 7:30am mass). I would wait until next Saturday but Iam scared to live my life until I go to Confession because what if something happenes to me before Saturday(like car crash or something that I dont know about)???? Cos from what I heard if I die in mortal sin I am doomed to hell. What should I do???????
 
Call again, I bet the secretary doesn’t show up until 9am or so…give them some time to make it in and settle down for the day. Don’t be upset if you have to leave a message. It’s okay, you are wanting to confess with all your heart. God knows your heart and put faith in His mercy.

I will say a prayer for you.

Call the rectory or parish office. Because today is a federal holiday they may have changed the mass schedule. (I know at least two parishes around here have a different schedule for holidays) or perhaps the parish secretary has the day off, or they are shortening the office hours. I would try to call again, or at least try tomorrow.

First off, turn to God and ask for forgiveness of your sin. Only God forgives sin and you will be forgiven, as soon as you confess with your heart, to Him.

Second, confession is called the Sacrament of Reconciliation. What it does is, reconcile us to the Church. When we commit mortal sin, we damage the Church, which is the Body of Christ and we must be reconciled, in order to receive the sacraments, in particular, Holy Communion.

With that said, don’t ever put off repenting to God, for your sins.

Get to confession as soon as you can, but don’t worry about the state of your soul before hand. You are in God’s hands first and always.

I dont understand who would want to confess there sins online:shrug: . I sure wouldnt want the whole world to be able to read what sins I have or have not done! I rather go to confession were only God and the priest and I know what I have done or not done.
 
Another point I’d like to mention is that - no matter where you stay, death can come to you. Hiding at home doesn’t help. 🙂
