it doesn’t say you *have *to kneel, it just says you humble yourself by kneeling,
Ok, thanks
there is no saying those soldiers will go to hell if they die, and it would be a sin for us to assume so, they can very well be saved out of their ignorance and also because God does take into consideration when someone cannot go to a priest, God is all fair, and He can still put sanctifying grace into their souls if they just absolutely could not get to a priest, with God all things are possible,
**Oh what a relief,I wouldn’t think that would be the case

**
What about shut-ins? Priests are supposed to either visit their homes, but what if that can’t be arranged. Would you think it would be okay then for a Priest to do it over the phone?
you have been forgiven if you went to a priest, you don’t have to be kneeling,
think about it, how many people on their death beds have their confessions heard? how many elderly people who can’t kneel, that’s no problem, the only issue here is the need to be in the presence of the priest for confession, that’s it.
That’s true, thank you. You can’t very well kneel if you can’t stand or sit or walk
but never think to yourself that a priest is bad for such a thing, and never speak bad of a priest in any case whatsoever, unless it’s to a superior in the church who can be helpful of the situation,
if your priest doesn’t know better, that doesn’t make him bad, it just makes him ignorant or misinformed, and we have no right to judge on that, especially with a priest, when we ourselves are so ignorant of so many things, of course i’m not saying that you think he is bad or that you would speak out like that, but i thought it would be good to mention…just in case.
Yeah, I used to get mad at priests and nuns when I was younger. I learned to just let it go and pray for them if it really bothered me. When I was growing up I was raised by very strict catholics, so one can imagine how upset it would make them when changes came about in the 60-80s during Mass and other issues. Sometimes, especially with a priest, you have to just let it go and pray for them. We really are not qualified to judge them. God is their only judge. Thanks for your reply
