I was wondering what should I wear when I go get confirmed? I don’t want to be the shore thumb sticking out. Thanks and God bless.

If you are a girl wear white. If you are a guy blue. Just an opinion. But for every other sacrament for a girl it is white. Why doesn’t confirmation have that same rule. Good question? Maybe God realized he was dealing with teenagers at that point!
Does your parish have a suggested dress code? Many parishes do.
Even if not, I would think they could offer suggestions about what is typical for your parish. I’d ask the head of your program.

Coat and tie at the very least, Montie. I had to wear a white suit for First Communion with my class but that was back in the late 50s. It was coat and tie for Confirmation. The Bishop confirms at the Cathedral on Pentecost Sunday all the adults who have never been confirmed. Coat and tie again.

regular business attire. I would say Sunday dress but nobody seems to agree on what that is. A suit for men, a modest dress or suit for a lady. of course business attire is all over the map nowdays, too. At the very least a shirt with a collar, tie and slacks, not jeans, not a tee-shirt. comb hair off the forehead, as you will be annointed.

When I was confirmed this past Easter I wore off white slacks with an off white silk blouse, nude heels. I didn’t want to be over the top, but I also didn’t want to wear bright colors either (or black). If you’re a guy definitely wear a suit - at the least slacks and a button up shirt with a nice tie. NO JEANS!

Do they actually make WHITE SUITS for men anymore?
I know you can get a white TUX but a suit???

For the teens we require a shirt and tie for boys. Girls must cover shoulders, midriff and knees. [The sisters all wear sweaters which are available for loan to any violators. ]
