When I was confirmed with my other classmates many years ago, we were all 16/17 years old.
Girls were asked to wear conservative dresses or skirts with nice shirts/blouse with dress shoes. Boys to wear dress shirts and dress pants, ties optional (but most boys wore them but I cant recall to be honest).
There was no color code, and I wore a blue dress with white sleeves. My sponsor/godmother did wear a red business suit as our sponsors were asked to dress up also.
My sister’s kids when they received all 3 sacraments of initiation, it was different for the group of kids they were with ( all the kids were ages 8 - 12 ). They had robes with tees, shorts and swimsuits underneath as baptism was by immersion. Then they were taken to a room to change from the robes etc to more normal clothes then were confirmed. My nephew wore a blue dress shirt and dark dress pants with nice shoes. My niece wore a nice white dress with some flower decoration on it that went just below her knees.
