I am coming into full communion with the Catholic Church this coming Sunday on Pentecost:D. The priest who is officiating I consider to be my mentor and he considers me his protigee. Because of this friendship I wanted to get him something on my confirmation as is the custom. What is an idea of a meaningful gift to give to a priest that he will use and enjoy? Thanks!

I’m afraid this question can’t really be answered. I’ve known preists that would really like a nice chess set, other priests that would most enjoy a good book, and more then several that would be most pleased by a nice softball glove or a pair of running shoes. A couple of preists come to mind that would like nothing better than a plate of brownies…

Preists are people and have a wide area of interests. You likely know your mentor better than we do.

Sorry I couldn’t help 🙂

God bless

Does he have a St. Christopher visor clip for his car? Priests do a lot of driving, and he might appreciate that as a gift. How about a gift card to a bookstore or restaurant. Or maybe an outdoor garden statue of our Blessed Mother.

A gift card with enough money on it to take someone out for lunch, or else to get himself a really nice book. 🙂
