If you attended a Confirmation Liturgy recently, what was the Bishop’s/presider’s message to the Confirmandi?
Our Bishop (Peter Jugis, Charlotte, NC) encouraged the young people to embrace their Gifts of the Holy Spirit and use them to be counter cultural agents of change. He explained what his role of Bishop entails and helped the youth see that their sharing in the sacraments and their Catholic upbringing made them disciples of Jesus and thusly gave them a share of his bishop responsibilities.
