I’m not sure if this is in the right place so apologies if it isn’t. I was confirmed as a child around 23 years ago and my memory of it is patchy at best and I’m just looking for an answer on my sponsor.

My mum is Church of England and my dad Catholic and when they divorced she agreed to bring us up in the Catholic faith. However, when it came to my sponsor we had no family friends etc that were eligible and so turned to the members of our church for someone.

My problem is I can’t remember in any way who this was and neither can anyone in my family. I’m at a point in my life now where I want to take my faith more seriously than I have and so my question is - is there any place his information will be recorded or similar?

I would contact the parish where you were confirmed, they will have records.

yes it is recorded in the sacramental record of the church where you were confirmed. But if you don’t even know that person any more, it is unlikely to benefit you very much. My advice is to seek out solid Catholic friends and teachers who can be your mentors now.
