Again, I would still disagree, in the sense that faculties that affect the validity of the Sacrament are required.It’s not that a bishop “does not need faculties” because of his episcopal ordination. They still need to have faculties, even though barring some extreme & unlikely circumstances, they will always be granted them…
If, by, faculties, you mean the permission that is mentioned 883-2 and that would affect the licitity of the Sacrament, I would agree.
If they are distinct entities, then that logical contradiction that I mentioned in my previous post arises. An act cannot be both lawful and illict at the same time.
