Confiteor+Kyrie

I go to a spanish mass mass every sunday(spanish being my native language) anyway after we say

“I confess…” we don’t follow it by the Kyrie…we just go into the Gloria

Is this illicit…should i be concerned…aka “ask my priest”

The Penitential Rite, forms A and B, are to be followed by the Kyrie; form C is not, because it contains the Kyrie. So yes, this should be brought to your priest’s attention. Just ask him, politely, why there’s no “Lord, have mercy” in between the Confiteor and the Gloria. It’s not proper to omit the Kyrie.

yea i’ll talk to the priest (politely of course)!

i didn’t do it this sunday because i wanted to make sure it was done at every mass not just an accident (one time thing)

but its not an accident so…i’ll bring it up
