whyme, there are more than few theologians who have concluded that there will be very few people in hell. It only seems you who are so ready to condemn, both the living and the dead. This seems to be your fetish.

If one spends one’s life obessed with a religion or with rubber underwear, it is still a fetish and a waste of life. Their work does not give fear but I can feel sorry for people who sole point in life, is to obsess about mormonism; or with people who are obessed with rubber underwear. Utlm is not a procatholic site. Maybe you agree with the post that I posted from their site. Is it truthful and correct?

I’m still waiting to hear what it is in what you quoted of the Tanner’s that you disagree with. You provided the quote. What in it do you find disagreeable?

Hardly, I am saying that I have never been to a funeral where the dead are heading to hell. That is all. And yet, hell is a place where the evil will go, right? I condemn no one to hell. I just made an observation.

whyme, a funeral is not for the purpose of the living judging the soul of the dead. Further, we believe in the forgiveness and the saving graces of Jesus Christ. Perhaps we understand that the Sacrament of Confession is real, and you don’t?

Nor does the Catholic Church say someone is going to Hell, and we always pray to God that He will have mercy on someone’s soul at funerals, and is also why we pray for the dead, since we don’t even know if they’re actually in Purgatory or not.

So your observation of “no one is going to Hell” is pointless.

"is it just me, or is it logically dishonest to claim or imply that a source can’t be right on one area and wrong on others…Even the Book of Mormon gets some things right, so do the Koran, Bhagavad Gita, and the Vedas. That doesn’t mean they are actually from God. Likewise, a source can be right about one area (or we can cite it as evidence for our own views on an issue), and wrong on another area.

I can agree with this quote.The clergy are not acting on their own, guarding a door. It is the Holy Spirit who brings people to the Catholic Church.

Oh I get it. Some people have fetishes. It can be with mormonism such as Utlm. Or with rubber underwear and clothing. Some even have a shoe fetish or a leg fetish. It is an obsession with something. And utlm has a fetish with mormonism. Gerald Tanner spent years trying to knock down the lds church. But now he is dead. And the lds church still stands. The same will happen to Sandra Tanner. I just find it sad that people have obessions that causes them to waste a life.

Its members will be gathered from north, and south, and east, and west, and will be of every name and tongue — but all one in Jesus Christ.

When I declared myself to be lds and catholic whose character was attacked on this forum? Was it the catholicism coming out among the posters who attacked me? I have not attacked the Tanners. I just said that I have to feel sorry people who have a fetish because a fetish is an obession. And the Tanners have/had a fetish about mormonism.

And I do remember that when my character was attacked you were silent in not scolding the catholics who were doing so.

Nothing there in the list you provided.

Perhaps you have never heard that the Eucharist is the source, center and summit of our Catholic faith. It is not our cathedrals, vestments or anything else you listed there. All those things are centered on the Eucharist, which is Our Lord Jesus Christ. Without Him, there would be no reason for these things at all. And, as one our of deacons has said, our cathedrals would be for no purpose but empty museums.

An insult is an attack.

I’d say you were not attacked whyme, criticized yes, for good reason. But not attacked. The fact remains, you cannot be both mormon and Catholic, and for you to preach this falsehood on a Catholic site is beyond the acceptance of any Catholic. As it should be.
