You have too much hate toward the lds church to be a good catholic.
—LOL. I have no hate towards anyone but America’s enemies. I have no “hate” towards LDS folk, I just point out the truth. You need to adjust your perception and be less reactionary, is all. I have no “hate” towards mormons, but ( and millions upon millions of Christians) realize mormons are a cult and not true “Christians” in the slightest. I’d have no problem with them at all if they called themselves “Smithians”, for example.
Do you want to be a good catholic? Show mercy and love and pray for the mormons. 🙂
–I am a good Catholic. I’m even a former Altar Boy. 🙂 I do pray that mormons will drop the Christian charade and join either the True Church that Jesus founded, or at the very least, one of the Christian denominations. I pray that Joe Smith’s brainwashing does not twist the minds of any other souls and that those who are brainwashed read www.ex-mormon.org and free themselves and run towards the truth.

An insult is an attack.

I’d say you were not attacked whyme, criticized yes, for good reason. But not attacked. QUOTE]

why me wrorte:
Being called a liar, google catholic, never catholic is not an attack? I would think that being called a liar is an attack.

irrelevant to what I quoted from you. But nice dodge.

God apparently is Why Me who says what is a waste of life, since they don’t agree with his personal biases.
And Christ will say who is a christian and who is not. Not me, not you and not anyone else on this forum can judge who is a christian if they do not agree with that faith because of their own personal biases. 🙂

IF you are Catholic, it is clear who is Christian and who is not. There is no ambiguity.

**1271 **Baptism constitutes the foundation of communion among all Christians, including those who are not yet in full communion with the Catholic Church: “For men who believe in Christ and have been properly baptized are put in some, though imperfect, communion with the Catholic Church. Justified by faith in Baptism, [they] are incorporated into Christ; they therefore have a right to be called Christians, and with good reason are accepted as brothers by the children of the Catholic Church.” “Baptism therefore constitutes the sacramental bond of unity existing among all who through it are reborn.”

I think that the OP who considered himself a conflicted mormon is more conflicted after reading some of the antimormon posts on this thread. I would never refer to Martin Luther as Mart Luther. Or John Wesley as Jack Wesley etc. Nor would I say that they brainwashed people into leaving the catholic church. It would be disrespectful to those denominations that they founded. The same could be said by refering to the mormon founder as Joe Smith.

May I remind everyone that the first christians were considered a cult by the pagans. 🙂

Actually, as Catholics, we do know which religion is and isn’t Christian, at least according to our definition. Everyone has their own definitions of what “Christian” means. According to some, everyone that believes in and worships Jesus Christ as God is a Christian. According to others, you must not only believe that, but you must believe in the traditional Christian concept of God. According to some definitions, Catholics aren’t Christians. According to others, Mormons aren’t Christians. Deal with it. We do. As Catholics, we believe that we are the original Christian Church, and we believe that anyone that departs from teaching on the nature of God isn’t a Christian. They may be a Christian according to the broad definition of anyone that believes in Jesus Christ and worships Him as God, but they aren’t Christian according to the strict definition of believing in God as formally defined at various Ecumenical Councils. Likewise, Catholics aren’t Christians according to the strict definitions of some. Again, deal with it. We do.

And obviously, that has nothing to do with whether someone is going to Hell or not, as the Catechism clearly states. Non-Christians can be saved by Jesus Christ. Academia would laugh if you told them that we can’t know who or what is Christian. Again, it depends on what definition you are using, since there are MANY that exclude various groups (including Catholics) depending on the definition.

And yes, ultimately God judges us. So as you tell us that God judges who is a Christian, you should also remember that God will judge whether someone that spent their life researching and critiquing mormonism was wasting their life, in your words. One man’s garbage is another man’s treasure.

🙂 LOL.

Do you speak for him? He hasn’t said anything remotely related to him being confused. Interestingly, he agreed with a few comments made by some ex-mormons. And this thread isn’t about what you would do.

This is all so silly.

I saw the JeeeHovah Witness thread, too. Both cults; non-Christian. Anyone will tell them that. Same goes with any hairbrained witchcraft BS.

**This is a Catholic site. **

**Jesus is God; God founded the Catholic Church.

That’s a lot for us mere mortals to deal with, day in and day out.

Let’s just boil it down and work with the volumes of what God gave us.
Thank God.

Distractions of any silly sidelines are just that - silly.

God Bless. Watch EWTN and it’ll help all.**

Do you mean like when you attacked us by calling us liars?

Good try
