I’ve searched this forum and got conflicting answers to my question
. I went to confession yesterday and although I had done a pretty thorough examination of conscience, I forgot a mortal sin during my confession to the priest. I went on to receive communion at the mass right after confession and didn’t realize until later what I had forgotten. So a couple of questions… 1. Do I need to confess that forgotten sin, or was I absolved because I made an honest attempt at confession? 2. Was it a sin to receive communion when I thought I was absolved of everything?
Thank you!
