Confused about Vocation

I’ve thought about the priesthood, but I don’t feeling any deep call or desire. Does this mean it’s not for me?

I feel i’m drawn to be a married man, but this is where it gets complicated. My parents divorced when I was 4 and I’m not sure how great of a father/husband I’ll be simply from lack of knowledge of the married life. I’m afraid that no matter how hard I try, I’ll screw things up with my wife and kids as my father did.

So I don’t want to be a priest, but unsure about how to be a husband/father.

Any advice?

While some people believe that being a parent/ husband reflects the life of your parents. I do not think it will effect you THAT much, as you were so young when your parents divorced. If anything you will want to better yourself so that you can give your family more then your family gave you??? I think you want to get married you are just scared to!!! Dont let your parents marriage effect you!
 
What is your relationship with your grandfathers? They have a lifetime of wisdom that may be helpful to your understanding of what a christian father should be. It may be a blessing to them and yourself to seek their advice.

There is also a ministry in the church called This Man Is You which is a formation program directed towards developing understanding our roles as christian men in society and in our families.

Pray sincerly. God will provide your answer if you work on seeking it and become patient in hearing it.
