Hiya, a little backstory to begin with.

When I was little I was very into faith but had more of a “personal” relationship with our lord and view on Christianity. I prayed almost every day and I only went to church to make sure I got the bare minimum required. Then I basically just turned my back on all things “religion” basically the second that I got through the Sacrament of Confirmation. The Catholic Church has never before been important to me. But now I have returned home and started to study our church. And there is so much… all different teachings, orders, groups, and then there is reading the bible, catechism, watching documentaries and listening to podcasts.

So I happened upon this Podcast about the anti-christ and the apocalypse. When I searched youtube for “Catholic radio podcast” it was amongst the first videos to pop up, im sure you can find it no problem. Its thumbnail is a red picture of a grim reaper or something similar. In this podcast there were some north-american priests (I think) that were talking about corruption inside the Vatican.

These things are completely new to me, and they were talking about super serious things like masonic orders infiltrating the vatican and blackmailing bishops and cardinals to get their way. The priests claimed to have inside information and it all seemed like a ridiculous paranoid conspiracy theory. Are the things they are talking about for real? Someone set me straigth here

Later on they talked about how St. Fatima or someone said that if the church doesn’t unite then the wrath of God will be unleashed on the Earth in form of fire. So they claimed that USA is the new Sodom and Gomorra who will bring a nuclear Ww3 on us… any thougths on that?

Edit: Actually I’ll just get the link for the podcast, here it is: youtube.com/watch?v=nROfRdOz0Jo

Both are associated with Fr Nicholas Gruner’s Fatima Network.
*CONGREGATION ISSUES DECLARATION ON SUSPENDED PRIEST *VATICAN CITY, SEP 13, 2001 (VIS) - The following declaration was released yesterday afternoon by the Congregation for the Clergy. It was signed by Cardinal Dario Castrillon Hoyos, congregation prefect, and by Archbishop Csaba Ternyak, secretary.

"The Holy See has received several news reports concerning the so-called Conference for Peace in the World, which is being planned for Rome for October 7 to 13 and which has been organized by Fr. Nicholas Gruner of Canada.

"The Congregation for the Clergy, upon the mandate from a higher authority, wishes to state that Rev. Nicholas Gruner is under an ‘a divinis’ suspension, which has been confirmed by a definitive sentence of the Supreme Tribunal of the Apostolic Signature.

“The activities of Fr. Gruner, therefore, including the above-mentioned conference, do not have the approval of legitimate ecclesiastical authorities.”

CPC;DECLARATION;…;CASTRILLON HOYOS;VIS;20010913;Word: 140;
So I would use great caution and maximum discernment when reviewing any material from Fr Gruner’s Fatima Network…including this.

You can find all kinds of things on Youtube. I would do some research on the priests that are on that program. See if they are in good standing with the church or have fallen away. The church is going through a hard time right now but pray and stay steadfast with it. Trust in our new Pope to do what is right to bring it back to holiness if any evil has come through the door.

The Vatican is a large organization and evil can attack any organization, especially the holy places. The devil is very real and roams the world for the ruin of souls.

What Jesus wants us to do is pray and not worry about the end times. No one knows the time as the bible says. “Be always ready” but that is all we can do. Ask your priest if this worries you too much. I am sure he can help.

The podcast is affiliated with Nicholas Gruner, a disobedient priest who has been suspended for many years. Disregard this nonsense.

Did not view the link provided, but from the gist of it, a similar video was sent to me by protestant ‘friends’ warning me about reverting to Catholism. All it did was affirm my decision. If you have any Catholic background or family that goes way back, you will know about persecution against the Catholic church, the attacks have been insidious and unrelenting. So in my opinion, I’d rather trust God and the Catholic church than a youtube video.

The Catholic Church has suffered difficult times since the Resurrection, so that is nothing new. But notice those who have given it the difficult times have never succeeded in shutting the Church down. The Church has survived everything that has ever tried to come against it. Even some people inside the Church have tried to destroy it. This is no guarantee that individual MEMBERS of the Church won’t suffer, but the Church itself won’t pass away until God says “enough!”👍

Grace & Peace!

In general, I find this rule of thumb both reliable and useful: naming new Sodoms or Gomorrahs and claiming that God’s wrath will be unleashed on Earth in some fiery form is usually the behavior of folks who are very well-meaning, but who don’t quite understand the heart of the Gospel. The justice of God does not look like a conflagration–it looks like the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The resurrection shows us that God is not a God of Violence and Death–he is not a Death Giver, but, as we confess every Sunday, he is “The Lord and Giver of Life.” The God of Fiery Conflagration is an idol of death. It is not worthy of worship and is merely a divinized image of our own indignation at injustice and immorality. That indignation may be appropriate, but if it does not lead us to compassion, to love, to a disposition to suffer with or on behalf of those who suffer injustice, then it’s merely self-reflexive and has more to do with our understanding of ourselves as “moral” people than with our understanding of God or his Gospel.

Where there is fear-mongering, you will not find the peace that passeth understanding or the perfect love that casteth out fear, or the assurance to be of good cheer because Jesus Christ has overcome the world. And that’s a hint to move along and seek the Gospel where it may actually be found.

Under the Mercy,
Mark

All is Grace and Mercy! Deo Gratias!
