My daughter left home this week to live in a large city with her half-sister. Not so good surroundings. She is very vulnerable, low self-esteem and just eager for a boyfriend. She didn’t sit down to discuss this move with us. So, you can figure I didn’t take it very good. She is my baby girl and best friend. I am mostly hurt. She didn’t bother telling her grandparents and aunts and uncles who she is very close too. Something doesnt sound right.

I pray that God lead her down the right path whether it’s there or here (if she was to come back home), protect her from this evil society we live in. Don’t live her side. We all miss her and want what’s best for her. God lift her up in prayer.

Lord please keep this daughter safe and protect her from harm and guide her.Amen

Memorare (Prayer to Our Lady)
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen

St. Augustine, pray for her.
St. Monica, pray for her.
St. Peregrine, pray for her.
St. Clare, pray for her.
St. Colette, pray for her.
St. Rita, pray for her.

Mother Mary, I entrust Normal’s daughter to your care. Please protect her under your mantle of love and purity and lead her to your Son Jesus. Help her to live in a right relationship with God. May she pray and seek Our Lord, and be responsible. May she return to the safety of her home where she will be loved and cared for. Amen.

Jesus Christ please help this man through difficult times.

You deserve all our worship and prayer.

I’m going to offer some practical advice.

This little story may seem off topic but…

I used to be about 90 lbs overweight. I told my mother I was going to move about 700 miles away for 3 months and do a bootcamp. My Mum said “Hmmm OK.” a few days later I had a leaflet of this personal training studio on my desk. Needless to say I didn’t move away.

Anyway my point is that a new city would be a very lonely place and you obviously feel the support networks she has around her won’t be the best so perhaps contact the diocese and find out if they have young adult programs and gently provide her with information she may find useful and allow her to make the decisions.

I know it’s not the same but my mother empowered me to make a decision whilst being better informed. I think it was one of the best ways she ever showed she loved me

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be
done, on earth as it is in heaven Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our
trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil. Amen

Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with thee
blessed art thou among women and
blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus
Holy Mary mother of God pray for us
sinners now and at the hour of our death
Amen.

Glory Be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning is now ever shall be world without end Amen

Praying that your daughter will be protected against all harm.

Guardian angel of this young daughter, protection her and guide her, alert her to danger. We pray that the Holy Spirit within her will also speak to her and help her see Truth and seek her Lord knowing that He alone will fill the deepest need in her life. In the precious Name of our Dear Lord Jesus we pray, amen.
