Just one of them…? Am I not really called? Ive had confession before. Do you really think I’m just a person who thinks he is called, but really isn’t?
I take it you don’t have a regular confessor who knows you very well and with whom you’ve discussed your feelings of possibly having a vocation. That is what that person was talking about.

Again, don’t fret over whether you have a vocation to the priesthood or not, just try to be a good Catholic for now.

Yeah… I am baptized by the way. I just need to be confirmed. It looks like RCIA is just for people who haven’t been baptized and are converting to the church.
RCIA is for people that haven’t received one or more of the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, First Communion, or Confirmation).

A confessor. Maybe that is what I need.

Ordinarily parishes will have a confirmation class, usually for kids right around your age. Ask about it at your parish!

If you know your diocese’s website, usually they have somewhere on there your diocese’s vocations director, who helps those discerning a calling. This person can recommend to you a good spiritual director (confessor) with whom you can explain your feelings regarding your probable vocation. Typically, the vocations director will recommend one’s home parish pastor.

Yeah… Theres no vocations director on the website.

Nah… Ive pretty much emptied my life story on here. I wish to keep atleast some secrecy to my life haha.
Haha…okay. No problem.

Have you tried to enter your diocese’s name through Google and added “vocations director”

for example:

Diocese of Pittsburgh Vocations Director

Found him, haha. Sneaky, but I hunted him down on facebook. Useful resource :P. But the distance is like a 45 minute drive… Kinda lengthy.

Can you send him an e-mail? I conversed through e-mail with my vocations director. Typically they can find a place that’s convenient for the both of you if you so wish to talk in person. I’m meeting with him Friday.

Nice. Although I don’t want to bother him in person. I think I will send him an e-mail tomorrow. How old are you? O.o

Ugh… I haven’t gone to church in a while. Its because of a bad thing too. I really liked this girl once, and she made fun of me said that I was homosexual, which was weird, since I felt an attraction to her. But then, she went out with two of my best friends and drove them both away, although I am friends with the last one again. For a point, I thought I had finally gotten over her, then I saw her at church as a girl altar boy. I was so embarrassed I haven’t gone to mass since. Its been months. She has really scarred me.
The main thing is to forgive her. Consider going to another church, if she’s still impeding your dedication to God. If you can’t, then you’ll just have to man-up and do your best to ignore her and make a greater effort to focus on God and worship. Life is full of ugly situations and temptations; we can’t run away from them forever.

Those signs for a vocation are an excellent guide. I’ve been considering the priesthood myself.

Yes, I can just go to one town down and go with my grandpa and my aunt.

Yeah, those signs were a good help. But for the first link, the first question baffled me. What exactly -is- the Word of God? And how do I spread it? Do I seem to be the only one having this problem understanding it, or am I not alone?

That one is a bit vague. The way I think of it is: When you hear the readings at Mass being proclaimed, do YOU wish you were the one proclaiming those words and living them all your life?

Oh, if its like that, then I’ve got 13 of them checked off now haha.
