Confusing Confession

I just went to Confession, and at confession, I mentioned my online Sola Scriptura debate. The priest seemed to think it was just between me and one other Protestant woman. Then he said something, that sounded like he thought I was married, and this was a debate between me and my wife! I didn’t correct him on it, was that a grave act? Or was it merely a mistake on the priest’s part?
 
I think it was a misunderstanding on the part of the priest. I personally wouldn’t worry about it because having an online debate is not sinful anyway. JMO
 
Sounds like it was all a big mistake and misunderstanding on his part. As long as you did not intend to mislead him you are fine.

The internet can be an intimidating and confusing place for elders, especially priests who are often far too busy to learn the nuances of things like forums whose sole purpose is debating.
