I never said a priest was “forced” to say the EF, but I believe it is entirely within the realm of possibility that sabotaging the EF is in keeping with the political aims of certain special interest groups within the Church.
I have become more and more aware of this possibility as time goes on and my experience of the political climate of my diocese increases.
I am not saying that the sabotage is completely clerical in nature either.
It is quite obvious that the priest is not capable of causing the chaos going on in the Church, although he IS responsible for not putting up storm windows in the Winter, not having someone open the windows in the Summer, not having fans, not turning on the heat, turning off the air conditioning and all of the other liturgical abuses I mentioned regarding the readings and the homilies.
