Connect the Bible to an academic subject

In the church bulletin, it was stated:
Learning an academic subject can be an act of worship if students know how to think biblically about it. Discover how to help your children apply Bible verses to subjects such as math, science, English, and history.

What is your opinion?
 
I would add Geography to the list. Studying maps of the areas covered in the Old Testament, and New Testament are relevant and informative.

Maybe Biology, as well, given the numerous Biblical references to plants, seeds, crops, seasons, the human body, etc.

Poetry. The Psalms of the Old Testament are poetic praise to the Lord Thy God.
 
how about Finance and Matthew 25:14-30 ?

If investors dont see a good ROI, they will move their money somewhere else

Homeschooling, I’ve found the area of English to be very relevant;
  1. I’ve had my kids in first and second grade read a Bible story daily from readers by Rod & Staff publishers. Helping them sound out at first, then letting them get more independent, it was a great supplement to regular reading classes.
  2. When ready for composition, I’d have them comment on stories and parables they’d read (response to questions, describing theme and moral, writing a letter or diary entry). Bill Bennett’s The Moral Compass contains a number of them, rewritten in more contemporary English.
  3. I’d have them memorize selected Bible verses throughout the year. There are lots of collections to be found online. Memorizing is not only a great mental skill; it creates an intimacy with the text.
