I watched the whole fight last night.

I would say that McGregor actually won rounds 1 through 7. He was sticking and moving with jabs and a few uppercuts landed. But unfortunately he did the strategy I was hoping he wouldn’t and fell right into Floyd’s trap. They just let McGregor punch out all his energy and then in Round 8 Floyd, knowing that McGregor was tired, started hitting him with the hard stuff.

Overall, it was 10 rounds and very competitive. A good match. I would like to see McGregor give boxing a go against someone else.

And did you see how they all but hugged afterwards? (perhaps they did hug as I didn’t see the entire clip); they seemed the best of buds. I guess all that trash talking before the match should not be taken at face value. It was kind of a relief to see actually but it made me question how much of this is real.

They were already good friends long before the fight. It was a stage show that could net them both truckloads of money, not to mention all the advertisers, other people, companies involved, it was a huge show, and I would imagine, every second highly scripted months ahead of time, decided by a boardroom of people.

Yes I read they flew on the same private jet to a pre fight promotional event about a month ago.
