I didn’t go to confession or communion. So now what? Do I go to confession & communion as soon as possible or do I begin the preparation for consecration again trying to rid myself of worldy things, understand myself, Our Blessed Mother, and Jesus?

why are you not completing your preparation in a group under spiritual direction, so you can get guidance and answers for such questions?

A group and said spiritual direction is not available for the Total Consecration to Mary, so instead of waiting until the day that it is I did the preparation on my own.

I did the Total Consecration about twenty years ago, and I remember all the worries involved with “completing” things in the time given. Don’t stress about having to do the program again just because you missed confession and communion on the day you were supposed to go. Just go when you can as soon as possible.

The ridding yourself of worldly things and understanding yourself is a lifelong process even as you experience growth in your prayer life----we are always having to examine ourselves. We are weak and even the most spiritual among us make excuses for our behavior and sins—although the spiritually minded can make the excuses sound really convincing:D …so my point is, the total consecration exercises are good to keep handy.
