Consecration of Host by priest

Hello,
Are there any scriptures specifically referring to the consecration of the host by the priest. For example, for the sacrament of reconciliation. I would refer to: “if you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained” (John 20:21–23). Do we only rely on Mathew 16 for the Consecration of the host? Everything I’ve read focuses on the real presence, not the process of consecration itself.

The Last Supper (Jesus was, of course, a priest!)

But you probably mean somebody *other *than Jesus.

1Cor 11:23- makes it clear that the Consecration of the Bread and Wine was being done within the Church according to the formula used by Jesus at the Last Supper, and Paul says he is handing it on to the Corinthians as he had received it from Jesus (and think on that… Paul wasn’t at the Last Supper… so that means… the Eucharist he did receive (at the hands of the Church) comes from Jesus!).

In 1 Corinthians 10:16, St. Paul seems to speak of the consecration of the Eucharistic elements of the bread and wine:
16The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not a participation in the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not a participation in the body of Christ?
