Hello,
Are there any scriptures specifically referring to the consecration of the host by the priest. For example, for the sacrament of reconciliation. I would refer to: “if you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained” (John 20:21–23). Do we only rely on Mathew 16 for the Consecration of the host? Everything I’ve read focuses on the real presence, not the process of consecration itself.
