This consecration prayer is part of a 33 day do-it-yourself retreat in preparation for Marian consecration. The book and other materials are available for individuals and group retreats – here- allheartsafire.org/33days/overview.php

The author, Father Michael Gaitley, MIC is director of the Association of Marian Helpers, a spiritual benefit society of the Congregation of Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception.

Saint Maximillian Kolbe’s Prayer of Consecration

“O Immaculata, Queen of heaven and earth, refuge of sinners and our most loving Mother, God has willed to entrust the entire order of mercy to you.

I, (name), a repentant sinner, cast myself at your feet humbly imploring you to take me with all that I am and have, wholly to yourself as your possession and property. Please make of me, of all my powers of soul and body, of my whole life, death and eternity, whatever most pleases you.

If it pleases you, use all that I am and have without reserve, wholly to accomplish what was said of you: “She will crush your head”, and, “You alone have destroyed all heresies in the whole world”. Let me be a fit instrument in your immaculate and merciful hands for introducing and increasing your glory to the maximum in all the many strayed and indifferent souls, and thus help extend as far as possible the blessed kingdom of the most Sacred Heart of Jesus. For wherever you enter you obtain the grace of conversion and growth in holiness, since it is through your hands that all graces come to us from the most Sacred Heart of Jesus. Amen”

I am using the book “Totus Tuus”, which was the motto of Blessed John Paul II for the Consecration to Jesus through Mary. It has both St. Louis deMontfort’s writings, and also comments and writings that are in more modern language from Bl. JP II. I am hoping to make my Consecration on January 1st, Feast of Mary, Mother of God. My Priest has a heavy schedule on Feast Days, and I’m not sure yet if he is willing to witness/be present for my Consecration. Can I do the Consecration privately? Without a Priest or witness? I feel that perhaps the only witnesses I need are Jesus and Mary! What is the usual procedure for a private process of the 33 days and the Consecration? How do I enroll in the Marian group which supports the Consecration? (There is certainly none that I’ve ever heard of here in my Parish, which is in a small town of only 2,000 in the Ozark mountains.)

Any information appreciated. Thank you and God Bless you!

I would think you can do it privately - the book above has one doing it after communion or mass - but it’s not essential - you can do it at home

the book discusses the 4 great Marian Saints - De Montfort, Kolbe, Mother Theresa, and Blessed Pope John Paul II and their Marian spirituality - you don’t enroll in a program to do this retreat - it’s do-it-yourself or they have materials for groups - go to site. There are other things that you can enroll in so look around the site to see if there is something that interests you.
