I consecrated to Mary in the end of May. I read everything about it but I still don’t see what is the core reason that we consecrate to Mary? Just a question

Some wish to go the extra mile in their life with God. The catholic church has a special groups of men and women who take vows. This is freely chosen and is above the ordinary way of christian living.
The consecration to Mary of one’s life is a simiar idea. It is freely chosen by those who wish to do so.
It amounts to dedicating one’s total life to Jesus thru Mary. By this consecration, all reward that would be received for works, prayers, and sufferings is placed in the hands of Mary to use as she desires and in any way she desires. Mary being in heaven with Jesus, will use our rewards for many different needs of mankind: sinners, injustices to her son, changing world policies, the poor and suffering, those in purgatory, families, protecting the innocent, peace, and so on.
Mary is in a better position being close to her son to see the needs of this world much better than any individual can. She, being appointed our mother, will use them wisely.
The second part is that by consecration to her, she in her turn will take care of our needs as well. So when one places themselves and all they do in her hands, she on the other hand will see to it that will receive graces to grow closer to her son.
To do this act of consecration one must see the rightful place of Mary by her son and the role her son has given to her. And also that one’s faith is strong enough to trust her completely.
We may pray for others but with the understanding that the final application of our prayers are in her hands and she may use them as she wishes.
Obviously it is for everyone in the sense that it is a big step in growing closer to Jesus thru her. But not everyone can do it since some of the requirements cannot always be met or accepted.
One big benefit is that a person is free from worry of missing someone in their prayers, as well as knowing just which intention should have priority and knowing how much we should pray for an intention.
Another benefit is knowing that one is attached to her in a very special way with confidence that she will be there for our needs as we were there for hers.
And it also goes along way in loving others and becoming detached from ourselves.
