One of our priests changes two words, at all of the masses he celebrates, during the Eucharistic Prayer as follows: “*On the night he was betrayed, *Jesus *took bread” (*in place of 'he took bread’. And, again: "*Again he gave you thanks and praise, gave the cup to his *friends (in place of 'gave the cup to his *disciples’. *When a few of the ladies in my bible sharing group expressed concern, I asked Father about it and he stated that it is allowed in the Children’s Mass; therefore, it may be used in other Masses. We accepted this out of respect for our priest but we wonder: Is this good theology?
