The band that comes immediately to mind is the Folk Metal band Illuminandi. I believe they are Catholic. They are Polish.

I have no problem recommending Theocracy to Catholics. Out of 29 released songs, I can think of one song (Nailed) and maybe two lines from two other songs that have bothered me as a Catholic. As PolycarpMeans mentioned, their musical quality is impeccable, so I don’t find it useful to jettison 27.9 songs that are worthwhile for 1.1 songs that are questionable from a Catholic perspective.
As time went on and I talked to the band more about their perspective, I found the objectionable parts to be less problematic that I had originally thought. On the charge of Nailed being an anti-Catholic song, the band has said that “It’s just telling a story. It’s the story of what happened at a particular moment in time,” not an indictment of Catholics.
When the band leader (and lyric writer) was asked in an interview what denomination he was, he said “I grew up Baptist. The church I’m going to now is sort of non-denominational. I wouldn’t say I identify myself in any particular way as far as different sects and denominations. As long as the important core beliefs are the same. People are always going to have minor things they disagree on. Our guitar player is Catholic, so we come from all different sorts of backgrounds, but all have the same core beliefs.”
I think that gives a good sense of their attitude towards Catholics. I personally find no reason to treat them as “card-carrying Satanists”. To each his own of course and I would never suggest that PolycarpMeans needs to listen to them, but I thought other people might want to hear the other side of the story. I volunteered for the band for many years and know the guys fairly well.
If you like extremely high quality power metal with Christian lyrics (which is a rarity) and can use a little discernment to separate out a few questionable parts (from a Catholic perspective), you’ll find a gold mine of good stuff.

Opprobrium (from Louisiana), formerly known as Incubus is a Catholic Thrash/Death Metal band that has been around since the 80’s, actually one of the very first Death Metal bands ever to exist, alongside Death and Possessed. This was back when they went by the name Incubus.
They recently reissued the older albums under their new name, Opprobrium. They are widely respected in the secular Metal scene, since they were one of the original creators of their genre, and because their drummer (Moyses Howard) was innovative in the technique now known as blast beats… 4 albums of absolutely first rate Thrash/Death Metal.
Also worth checking out is a female fronted Catholic Black Metal band from Mexico called Deborah.
