yes no scholar i know of takes this idea seriously but it has become quite a popular argument against christianianity amoungst muslims so i thought id refute it here

Muslims love to argue Koran over Bible, but when you confront them with the Church they remain strangely silent. Effective refutation of the Koran depends on how one argues the existence of the Church rather than Scripture. They cannot argue against the Church because She existed more than 600 years prior to Mohammed…and She also gave us the Scriptures.
