“Some people slanderously accuse us of proposing, 'let us do evil so that good may result.” (Rom. 3:8).
Reflection: When we do choose evil, not does that have consequences on the outside, but it changes us on the inside as well. The same is true when we do good.
~ The battle for life is one that we conduct only by choosing good. We can never destroy or kill in the name of life.
Prayer: *Lord, how deep is the darkness and how great the chaos when we think that the end justifies the means. Protect us from trying to justify evil for good intentions.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, Amen.

Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your Dearly Beloved Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world. x10

Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Father save us. May we as a society move toward goodness and not toward evil way which seems that is intensifying. Please protect our life and the life of other that are yet born. May we grow strong and walk in Christ together and spread the good news of your word. In your name, Jesus amen!

Life is precious, don’t waste it…
Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be, Fatima, Amen…

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace:

where there is hatred, let me sow love;

where there is injury, pardon;

where there is doubt, faith;

where there is despair, hope;

where there is darkness, light;

where there is sadness, joy.

O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek

to be consoled as to console,

to be understood as to understand,

to be loved as to love.

For it is in giving that we receive,

it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,

and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

Amen.

“Turn away from sin and be faithful the Gospel.” (Liturgy of Ash Wednesday).
Reflection: Lent is the time when we learn more deeply why we are pro-life. Turning away from sin means we put God abov our “freedom of choice.”
~ Believing in the Gospel means we believe in life and reject the forces death, including abortion.
Prayer: Lord, I fully repent of all the times I have given my choices more weight than Yours. This Lent, renew my fidelity to You. May I be a living example of what it means to choose life.

“THEY mutilated their sons, and daughter by fire … till the Lord, in His great anger against Israel, put them away out of His sight.” (2 Kings 17:17-18).
Reflection: The people of God inherited the Holy Land according to God’s promise but but then offended Him.
Therefore the Assyrians swept through the land and brought them into exile.
~ The shedding of innocent blood by by child sacrifice was one of the major reasons that this occurred.
Prayer: Lord, You taught Your people that their destiny on the land depended upon their upon their fidelity to Your covenant. Keep us faithful to our day and free of the guilt of child sacrifice.

Prayer for Life

O God, our Creator, all life is in Your hands
from conception until death. Help us
to cherish our children and to reverence
the awesome privilege of our share in creation.
May all people live and die in dignity and love.
Bless all those who defend the rights of the unborn,
the handicapped, and the aged. Enlighten
and be merciful toward those who fail to love,
and give them peace. Let freedom be tempered
by responsibility, integrity, and morality.
Through Christ Our Lord, amen.

Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us.

“We prepare to celebrate the Paschal Mystery with mind and heart renewed.” (Sacramentary, Preface of Lent 1).
Reflection: Lent is a season in which we prepare to celebrate Christ’s total victory over death and our share in His Life by baptism. Death was not part of God’s original plan for us.
~ Standing with Christ in His new life means standing against whatever destroys life.
Prayer: Lord, in this Lenten season, strengthen and renew our commitment to be the People of Life.

"Anyone who wishes to follow Me must deny himself…" - Matthew 16:24
Reflection: The traditional practice of “giving something up for Lent” is a practice of self-denial. It means we say no to ourselves and yes to God and others.
~ This reverses the pattern of sin, particularly abortion, which says yes to ourselves and no to God and others.
Prayer: Lord, as I practice self-denial, I offer any sacrifice for children. May we say yes to You and yes to the unborn.

"If we endure, we shall also reign with Him." - 2 Timothy 2:12
Reflection: In Lent, the Church enters more deeply into meditation on the suffering, death, and Resurrection of the Lord Jesus.
~ Life was sacred because He made it, and by His Passion and Resurrection is even more sacred because it is now raised to the heights of heaven to reign with Him.
Prayer: Lord, I am filled with wonder at Your love for human life, everyone, born and unborn! May our laws and practices treat humans with the highest respect due them.

"Walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave Himself up and gave
Himself up for us."
- Ephesians 5:2
Reflection: Jesus endured crucifixion out of love for us, giving Himself away that we might have life. Abortion, on the other hand, is the opposite of love because it takes life.
~ Love says, “I sacrifice myself for the good of the other person.” Abortion says, “I sacrifice the other person for the good of myself.”
Prayer: Father [& Maternal Love of God], fill me and all people with the same love by which Your Son gave Himself away on the Cross. Grant that we may sacrifice ourselves and never sacrifice others. Amen.

Prayer of St. John Paul II for Life

O Mary,
bright dawn of the new world,
Mother of the living,
to you do we entrust the cause of life:
Look down, O Mother,
upon the vast numbers
of babies to be born,
of the poor whose lives are made difficult,
of men and women
who are victims of brutal violence,
of the elderly and the sick killed
by indifference or out of misguided mercy.
Grant that all who believe in your Son
may proclaim the Gospel of life
with honesty and love
to the people of our time.
Obtain for them the grace
to accept that Gospel
as a gift ever new,
the joy of celebrating it with gratitude
throughout their lives
and the courage to bear witness to it
resolutely, in order to build,
together with all people of good will,
the civilization of truth and love,
to the praise and glory of God,
the Creator and lover of life.

Pope John Paul II
Encyclical Letter “The Gospel of Life
Given in Rome, on March 25, the Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord, in the year 1995.

“If anyone is rich in worldly possessions and sees [anyone] in need but refuses to open his heart, how can the love of God abide in him [or her].” - 1 John 3:17
Reflection: Our relationship with God depends on how well we tend to the needs of others. If this applies to the need others have for material possessions, how much more does it apply to the need of life itself?
~ God’s love cannot survive in us if we turn our backs on the unborn and all whose lives are in danger.”
Prayer: Abide with us, Lord, so that we may see those in need and open our hearts to them. Amen.
