In one the cemetery’s near me there is a stone dedicated to all the babies aborted or miscarried before birth and erected to represent some of the women and children’s hospitals in my city.

I never thought of doing something like this before. What a great suggestion 🙂

Sunday was Epiphany. For us Maronites we bring any bottles or tap or whatever water, and the priest will bless it. We bring it home in the bottle and we throw some it it around the house, garden, properties and give some to our pets and plants. We also drink some (little sip) for ourselves. I still have a bottle from last year we haven’t used yet.

For us, Epiphany is Christ’s baptism.

When my Great Aunt passed away years ago, I was given her little container with water from the Lourdes Shrine she brought back after visiting there decades and decades ago. It looks like an old small medicine bottle to me… and even after all these decades, still has water in it; which I feel would have evaporated in most containers. I think medicine bottles are perfect for keeping Holy Water in. 🙂
