Yes, I know that there are hotlines and such, but I need prayers. I have been thinking about suicide for a few hours now. I have bipolar and a couple more mental illnesses and sometimes it just gets too hard. Your prayers will be appreciated.

Gracious and merciful Father, please come to Kendra’s assistance.

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed are thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Glory Be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end
Amen.

I’m not going to say that I can understand what you are going through.
But I also can’t say I haven’t thought of such things myself.

I guess there comes a certain point where the only thing you can possibly do is trust in God’s mercy. God created us because He loved us (however impossible it may be to believe sometimes, it’s true), and the last He wants is for us to feel like life is unlivable. Things will get better.

I guess that when one does not have faith (as too many suffering do not), it’s impossible to really believe that things will get better, but we Catholics know they will. We know that they will get better, not only in the glory of the afterlife, but even here on Earth. God has a plan for you, and wants you to be able to live out that plan all the way to His perfectly crafted ending. Trust in God to make it possible for you to live it out to that perfectly planned ending, and He will do so.

Prayers to you, my darling <3

I have bipolar disorder, too. I also think about suicide. My depression this week has been particularly bad but I was too embarrassed to ask for prayer on here. I am only sharing this so that you know that you are not alone. Take your meds, see your therapist, and treat the spiritual aspect of this too. This is a spiritual battle we are in so I offer the St. Michael prayer. May God bring peace to your heart and mind, and clarity of thought. I don’t know you, but I love you. You are loved by God and many o us here on CAF. ❤️

St. Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts,
by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan,
and all the evil spirits,
who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

Eternal Father in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us so that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your Holy Will which is love and mercy itself. Amen

Hail Mary, Full of Grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit if thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Moher of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of death. Amen.

St Dymphna, pray for us

Lord most merciful,
We implore you to hear our prayers for Kendra, as she is suffering and struggling right now. Help her to feel your love and mercy, and give her relief from her pain. Father, we pray for a healing for Kendra, but please oh Lord, ease her suffering now.

St. Dymphna,
We beg of you to hear our prayers for our sister Kendra, and take them to God. You know the pain of mental illness, and have assisted with the prayers of many sufferers from mental illness.

Mary, Mother of our Savior, and our mother, please comfort Kendra in this, her great time of need and suffering, as she makes it through these struggles. Hold her hand and give her signs and graces that she needs to survive this suffering.

Amen.

Dear Kendra,

Please don’t lose heart. Know that your life is worth so much to God and to the world. I recently had a friend whose wife commit suicide. It was such a desperate tragedy, and everyone wishes she had been able to understand how much everyone loved and needed her at the time, even though she suffered heavy depression.

Please don’t make the mistake she made. Remember, all our prayers are with you!

Praying for you Kendra.

May the Lord send you an Angel, a friend, a knock on the door, a phone call, a dog barking next door, a thunder storm, anything and anyone that will get your mind off this thought of suicide.

Please tell me you are not alone.

Hey you are not alone. We are here with you right now. Can you stay?

Please know I am praying for you. Hard.

And please don’t hesitate to call your local emergency number or hotline if you need it (I know you said you know about them, but as someone who’s been in a similar space, I felt compelled to add it again). Feel free to PM me if you want a number or just want to talk.

Kendra,

Someone close to me has bipolar and, when she is down, she tells me that ‘the bad angel is whispering’. Of course, I arrange to have her meds looked at and the community psychiatry nurse pops round but I also arrange for her to be blessed. That bad angel and his wicked whispering is not in the least welcome.

When your bad angel whispers, make it your business to listen to your guardian angel. He knows you are infinitely precious to God. He knows that your cross is very heavy right now but will be lighter soon. He knows you have things to do in your life, people to know and help, journeys to take and joy to experience. Your bad angel wants to steal all of this from you.

Bipolar is hard. My lady is poorly at the moment; the change in seasons is a tender time for her. But it isn’t forever. There are good, steady times between the low and high. This seems a fantasy when you’re low but, in truth; this will pass.

My niece is visiting and so I am attending Saturday vigil Mass. I will light a candle at every shrine for you, and also for you, Emerald Oak. I pray that you both come through these difficult days with peace, grace and renewed strength.

Take care.

Dear Lord, By the mercy and good grace of your son Jesus Christ our Saviour
Send your Saints and Angels to surround Kendra with love and healing in this trying time.
May she be ever aware of Your protection, assistance and presence and by your mercy come fully to the realisation that to end her most precious life is not the answer. Amen.

Kendra,
We all walk a hard path through life, but hold tight and fast to your faith and the Lord will ease your way.

Dear precious sister, add your prayers to all of ours.
I promise you I shall pray the Rosary to our Blessed Mother for you today.
Please , please let us all know you are safe and well.

Praying for you too.

Thank you so much for the prayers! I made it through the night. I talked to my mom. After a panic attack I was able to calm down and take my meds. It was a rough night, but with your prayers I was able to get through it. Sometimes this illness just gets too tough to deal with. My meds do work, but if I miss taking them, even by and hour, it gets rough. Thank you so much for your kindness and prayers. Y’all can’t imagine how thankful I am for them.

Giving thanks to God for your safety. Here is a prayer from Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen. It helps me a lot when things are dark. God Bless you.

Dear Lord, during this trial,
I offer up to you my confusion
Give me clarity
I offer up to you my despair
Give me hope
I offer up to you my weakness
Give me strength
I offer up to you my pettiness
Give me generosity of spirit.
I offer up to you all my
Negative thoughts from Satan
So that when he asks ‘Where is Your God now?”
I may respond “Right here with me, giving me His grace
As a Heavenly beam of light penetrating your darkness!"
