Contemplative Prayer - Stillness and Silence

In a few weeks, I’ll be giving a talk/workshop on stillness and silence before God (drawing from 1 Kings 19:11-12) to a group of mixed Catholic and Protestant college students. I saw this as tying into contemplative prayer, and a great opportunity to introduce the basic concepts. I’d love to get my hands on any resources (books, articles, lectures, etc.) on the topic that are on the introductory level, and would be intelligible to non-Catholics. Please let me know of anything along those lines!
 
Cardinal Sarah wrote a book just recently which will finally be available in English around April 15, 2017 , which is entitled The Power of Silence : Against the Dictatorship of Noise.
