It’s not just an appreciation. It’s rooted in the mystical event of the Incarnation: the marriage of God and material creation. The Church as the extension of the incarnation - the body of Christ on earth - continues to sanctify matter for God’s glory. It is for this reason that the Church can and has declared the pipe organ to be the premier sacred instrument… it’s been sanctified by the Church when used for divine worship.

Wow. Where are you getting this from? I would love to see a source. Here is what I read about this topic:
Do you need a source for an obvious truth. I did not make the claim that these instruments were used in the Mass. You made the assumption and took my statement out of context.
Attitudes toward Music among the Fathers . The rejection of all musical instruments from Christian worship is consistent among the Fathers.
Citing this is quite irrelevant due to the fact that we have the Organ and other musical instruments in the Mass today. Obvious the Church IGNORED what the Fathers considered.

The organ is just another series of Mass additions.
The Altar did not enter onto the scene until 258ish. Pope Sixtus II (257-259) was the first to prescribe that Mass should be celebrated on an altar, Altar (Catholic Church) - Wikipedia
Altars are also used by pagan religions, one of which is Hinduism which predates Noah(first time an altar is mentioned) I can provide sources for these as well if need be.
Then, in about the 10th or 12th century, Western Christians began to use the organ in the liturgy.
By the 15th century, organ music was widely accepted in the Roman Catholic West, though it never caught on the Orthodox East. The Coptic and Ethiopian churches, by contrast, have their own musical traditions, which make use of ancient percussion instruments. http://www.christianitytoday.com/hi...-churches-start-using-instrumental-music.html

I could go on and on and on and on and on…but I should assume you should be able to get the point by now.
