Contexutalizing "Noble Simplcity" in the Liturgy

There has been a good deal of discussion here on CAF and elsewhere of what the Church means by the phrase “Noble Simplicity” when it comes to the liturgy, particularly in recent weeks.

These two articles take a look at what exactly this means in the context of Church tradition.

Tolkien’s writing is the best embodiment in modern English that I can think of in terms of noble simplicity:
