I am having a bad day as my time draws near to have my CT scan of my lung. I have good and bad days as I have been extremely anxious. I find that I am not sleeping at nights worrying about the what ifs? I am not sure why I am wired this way however; it could be that I have seen much sadness in my life. I will continue praying and asking the Lord for his help and to calm my anxiety. I am a 44 year old female and pray that all will work out in my favor. Dear Lord please hear my prayer. Amen.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Prayer to Our Lady of Mental Peace

O Lady of Mental Peace,
Mother of Tranquility
and Mother of Hope,
look upon Von55 in this time
of weakness and unrest.

Teach her searching heart
to know that God’s Love
for her is unchanging and
unchangeable, and, that
true human love can only
begin and grow by touching
His Love.

Let your gentle Peace -
which this world cannot give
  • be always with her.
And, help her to bring this
    same Peace into the lives
    of others.
Our Lady of Mental Peace,
  • Pray for us!
    Amen.
Jesus, Help Me!

In every need let me come to You with humble trust,
saying:
Jesus, help me!
In all my doubts, perplexities, and temptations:
Jesus, help me!
In hours of loneliness, weariness and trials:
Jesus, help me!
In the failure of my plans and hopes, in disappointments,
troubles and sorrows:
Jesus, help me!
When others fail me, and Your Grace alone can assist me:
Jesus, help me!
When I throw myself on Your tender Love as Savior:
Jesus, help me!
When my heart is cast down by failure, at seeing no good
come from my efforts:
Jesus, help me!
When I feel impatient, and my cross irritates me:
Jesus, help me!
When I am ill, and my head and hands cannot work and
I am lonely:
Jesus, help me!

Always, always, in spite of weakness, falls and short-
comings of every kind:
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, help me and never forsake me!

Amen

Von,

What does worrying do? How does it help you? It doesn’t. You need to put your faith in God, let Him take all your worry. Anxiety is one of the main grips of Satan, it allows him to turn our minds and thoughts from God and onto ourselves. Do worry! Like the great man Padre Pio says “Pray, Hope, and Don’t Worry!” God bless, and if you ever need someone to talk to, feel free to pm me.

And sense this is a prayer thread------

Dear Lord, please show Von55 that in you, we have no fear. Open her heart up, so that she may be able to give all of her worry and struggle to you. Help her to carry this cross that she has. If it is your will, please heal her lungs. But no matter what happens, please help her to know that you are always there. Not ours, but your will be done. Amen.

Our Father, Who art in Heaven,
Hallowed be thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done on earth,
As it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
Amen. :signofcross:

Hail Mary full of Grace,

Blessed are thou among women
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb Jesus.
Holy Mary Mother of God,
pray for us sinners
now and at the hour of our death
Amen. :signofcross:

I am very sorry you are going through such a difficult time. Like you, I have lived through some very heartbreaking times. The only way I got through them was by getting as close to God as I could. I clung to Him. I talked to Him. I prayed. I read my bible and in His Word I found all the help I needed. His Word exhorts, encourages and gives hope. I found His promises and reminded Him when I went to Him in prayer.

God uses everything that happens to us to draw Him closer to Him. Through my years of anguish and desperate need, I slowly got to know God is faithful. If I put my trust in Him, He would honour my faith and He would help me. No ifs or buts. He turned everything that happened to me for good. I may not have seen that He was at work in my life at the time, but later when I looked back I could see how He changed me and helped me.

Through reading God’s Word every day, and spending time in prayer with God I was comforted. I got to know God better and what He wanted to do for me. His promises are not just for me, but for everyone who puts their trust in Him. Like a child, trust in Him.

I would like to give you some of the scriptures that I hope will comfort and help you. I don’t know how familiar you are with God’s Word, so please do not be offended if you already know these passages.

HOW DOES GOD WANT US TO GO TO HIM?
John 14:6 “Jesus said unto Him, I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one goes to the Father except by Me” (So, God is teaching us that we go to God, (eg. in prayer) through Jesus, only. No one else. I always end my prayers to God, “in Jesus’ name”.)

HOW DO WE GO TO GOD THROUGH JESUS CHRIST
Romans 10:9 “If you confess that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised Him from death, you will be saved. For it is by our faith that we are put right with God, it is by our confession that we are saved. Everyone who calls out to the Lord for help will be saved”

HOW DO WE CONFESS AND REPENT OF OUR SINS
One example of how, is this:
Pray: Dear Jesus,
I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that You died for me. Come into my heart right now and forgive me my sins. Help me to turn from my sins and to live for you from this day forward. In Jesus’ name.
Amen
(This is the prayer I prayed back in 1988 when I first got saved. My life from that day on has been lived with getting to know God and seeing Him help me with life’s difficulties)

WHAT HAPPENS TO FEAR?
1John 4:18 “There is no fear in love; perfect love drives out all fear. So then, love has not been made perfect in anyone who is afraid, because fear has to do with punishment.”
(This scripture took a long time to sink into my heart. Now, I know that whatever happens, God is in control, He is with me and nothing happens to me outside of His will. So, whatever drama is going on, I know God will work it out for good.)

WHY DO WE NO LONGER FEAR PUNISHMENT
Ephesians 1:7 “For by the blood of Christ we are set free, that is, our sins are forgiven. How great is the grace of God”
(This scripture echoes in my heart when I am right with God. When God convicts me of sin, I ask God for His forgiveness. When I have unrepentant sin, I can feel that separation from God. That is the worst feeling.)

WHAT HAS GOD’S GRACE GIVEN ME
Romans 6:22 “But now you have been set free from sin and are the slaves of God. Your gain is a life fully dedicated to Him, and the result is eternal life”
(how wonderful is this scripture!)

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO HAVE ETERNAL LIFE
Ephesians 2:8 “For it is by God’s grace that you have been saved through faith. It is not the result of your own efforts, but God’s gift, so that no one can boast about it”
(what a relief, how gracious is God, just have faith)

JESUS WILL NOT LOSE ANY THE FATHER HAS DRAWN TO HIM
John 10:28 “I give them eternal life, and they shall never die. No one can snatch them away from Me”
(we are safe in God’s hands. No one is greater than God)

WHAT DOES GOD WANT FROM US
John 6:40 “For what My Father wants is that all who see the Son and believe in Him should have eternal life. And I will raise them to life on the last day”
(God wants us to believe in Jesus Christ)

I hope these scriptures encourage and comfort you. I will keep you in my prayers. I have seen God do some pretty awesome things. So don’t underestimate what God can do for you. He says, ask and you shall receive. So tell Him exactly what you need Him to do for you.
May God bless you and keep you safe
Carmen

Continuing prayers on your behalf…

Prayer For Medical Testing

God our Father, You are God who loves me. I thank You for the many blessings You have given me.
In loving trust I place myself before You.
Let Your healing fill my life.

Give me the strength to understand what these anxieties of these medical tests mean for my life – whatever the outcome of them. Forgive my failures in carrying the cross. I beseech You humbly for my CT scan to have a good outcome if it be Your Holy Will. The Saints and Blesseds whom I admire and love give me an example of patient suffering. Supported, then, by their prayers, I ask that the present stress, tension and suffering I endure may be a source of life both now and for ever.
I make this prayer through Christ, Your Son.
Amen.

As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.

Christ said to His loved ones:
“I am with you, fear not, be not anxious.” May Von55, then, be confident
that in the trials and crosses of her life that You, O Lord, will be her
constant companion. Whenever she cannot stand, You will carry her
lovingly in Your arms. May she have no fear of what may happen
tomorrow. For the same Eternal Father Who cares for her today
will take care of her tomorrow and every day of her life. You, O Lord,
will either shield her from suffering or give her strength to bear it patiently.
May she be at peace then, and put aside all useless thoughts, anxieties
and worries.
Amen.

Good morning everyone!
First I would like to thank you for your continued prayers over the last few weeks. Some may already now. I am a 44 year old female with a right lung nodule that is 7X8mm. This has been here since 2008 and the radiologist failed to bring it to someone’s attention. I was following up on something else in my lung which is a pericardial cyst and benign.(Thank you God) I then had a mass removed from my back which was benign(Thank you God) When an MRI was done for this mass before surgery, they noticed I had a spot on my right lung and when they compared it to previous tests they seen it on there. In the span of 6-7 years they believe it has grown 3mm. Of course I panic. I have been through so much in the last few years that its overwhelming. With that being said, I had a repeat CT scan on Nov 2014. They tried to compare this to previous test however; are not certain as to what it is. I was told they are going to keep an eye on it for a period of two more years and do CT scan every 6 months. The lung specialist decided to get a second opinion and the radiologist thought I should come and get a CT with dye contrast and rather than 6 months got me in 3 months. This test is coming up Feb 24th and I am frightened as much as I pray and ask for faith and stillness, I am still lost. I get my test results Friday next week. Please, Please keep me in your prayers that I am healed and this is not cancer. I thank you everyone for your continued support. Thank you for your prayers this week. GOD BLESS! AMEN
