She has a road ahead of her with pancreatic (and liver?) cancer–she went through a surgery on Friday for a stent, and will be in surgery again today for something else, and possibly more surgeries in the future, as well as chemotherapy for sure. Right now the tumor is inoperable–I’d love for it to become operable and then the grandmother’s cancer be cured/in remission–she is truly a wonderful lady. I’ve known her for only a short time, and would love to have time to get to know her more.

Praying to St. Peregrine, and praying the Rosary…it would be so very gratefully appreciated if you could join in with me :o

The last prayer request helped by the way…the doctors weren’t sure if she could receive chemotherapy, but now she can. I hope that they caught it early enough to treat it, but I’ve heard that it’s almost never early enough 😦 I would love for his grandmother to be one of the exceptions!

Praying for your intentions…

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Thanks for all of your prayers! Sadly, I just found out the surgeon wasn’t able to do the surgery today–it was a tricky one for something not exactly related to the cancer–he got in and found he was not prepared enough for what he found. So the bad news is that surgery will have to be rescheduled and tried again sometime this week, probably. The good news is that the surgeon didn’t think he damaged the pancreas or anything, when he went in.

It’s a trying time for the whole family, especially for my boyfriend’s mother (it is her mother who has the cancer).😦 So if you could also please include her in your intentions, that would also be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so very much…

Keeping your boyfriend’s grandmother in prayer and that the rescheduled surgery will be successful…keeping you and your boyfriend and the family in prayer too at this trying time…

Rescheduled surgery went well 🙂 They will have to put in a more permanent stent in the future, but for now this is great news! One more thing down on her long road–and I hope that good news continues to come!

Thanks so much for all your prayers–I really can’t say just how thankful I am! Any add’l prayers are still welcome to join mine, though 🙂 I’ve been praying at least a rosary a day and a couple other prayers for his grandmother. She is truly a wonderful lady.

You all really are so very wonderful…

Some good news, Holly…Keeping his Grandma in prayer…

Okay…good news this morning, but now some bad news. 😦 They found out she has inoperable breast cancer, that’s independent from the pancreatic cancer that they knew about before.

I can’t help but think that it’s good they’re finding this out, as depressing as the news is, because maybe then the doctors will be able to better treat her now. But still, right now it’s been only one week today that she was first admitted to the hospital, and it’s brought a ton of news. I hope this is the last of it, and that while it’s a long road, that it can and will be beat.

Thanks for your continuing prayers 🙂
