I am a recent convert to the church and my wife is against not using contraception. What am i suppose to do? Do I have to go without sex because its a sin to use it or am i okay because i cant do anything about it? any advice would be greatly appreciated.

What you should do is talk to your priest regarding this situation.

You cannot contracept, but if you cannot stop your wife from contracepting then you do not sin if you have relations with her. However, you should prayerfully attempt to dissuade her from its use.

Again, you should be under the guidance of your priest in this situation.

Ditto. And do what you can to learn about Natural Family Planning. Most people don’t know how effective it is, or that it isn’t the old “rhythm method.” Perhaps she would be willing to learn more about it. Even if she doesn’t agree to use it.

Search CAF for threads on NFP. I have found some very good discussions from time to time that might help you. I am in a similar situation, but my wife is reluctantly using NFP.

Is your wife on the pill or some other form of ABC? Does she know the pill is an abortifacient?

I would recommend looking into some books by Christopher West. christopherwest.com/ He has some excellent resources on theology of the body.

Prayers for you and your wife.
