Please differentiate the following and give example that best describe each.

Oriental view of man

Playboy theory of life (also known as hedonism)

Communistic view of man

Individualistic way of look at man (also known as atheistic existentialism)

Christian way of life

Nihilistic world view

Please rank in order the above, from the most to the least desirable to live by. Please state your reason for your choices.

You might also rank them as you think most Americans would. But make sure to offer evidences for your ranking.

Is it just me or does this look suspiciously like the instructions to a homework assignment?

Something wrong with your spacebar?

In any case I’d rank it

Best: Christian: I find Christ and the Church he formed has created a belief system that if properly followed or at least attempted to be followed would create a better world on Earth as well as a community working to help one another achieve salvation.

Oriental: If by this you mean Buddhist, or Taoist beliefs I suppose they are better than the other choices left with. Of course I have no real understanding of either religion so I cannot go into detail.

Hedonism: I find excessive pleasure seeking to be a horrid way to live, but not worse than those mentioned below.

Individualistic: Can’t comment too much, but looking at a wikipedia it seems to be worst than Hedonism since by how I see it there are no absolute morals to this philosophy.

Nihilistic: From what I gather it seems to replace God with Human ambition and the belief in men who violently structure society in there own image. I think we’ve seen enough of the effect of those kind of men through Hitler, Pol Pot, and other tyrants.

Worst: Communistic: Man was not created like ants; we will never on our own free will work for the ideal that Communism sets. That and its very dogma calls for the eradication of all religions and spirituality.
