Prayer to St. Rita of Casia

Holy St. Rita, patron saint of the impossible, we
plead for the life of Vincent, who is facing death
at the hands of the courts and his siblings. St. Rita,
ask the Holy Spirit to inspire his siblings to repent
and allow their brother to have a natural death.
Holy St. Rita, pray us. In Jesus name, amen.

I agree with you that we would need a miracle for him to recover. However that does not mean we should actively do something or deny any needed treatment which would shorten his life.

His life is as valuable as ours, our physical health or disabilities does not determine if our life is worthy or not. That is one of the main issues with assisted death and euthanasia, they believe people in Vincent state are ā€œworthlessā€ and therefore disposable.

Iā€™ll pray so that hopefully the medics will continue to provide water and food.
 
I agree with you.
I didnā€™t advocate to pray for a miracle recovery of this man.
Just said that after so many years and trials, the chance Vincent Lambert would not be killed are small.
 
I agree with you.

I know his chances are slim, but I believe praying for him is the best thing to do.

Iā€™ve just learned of Vincent Lambert death, I pray the Lord will accept him in His Kingdom and provide him with unimaginable joy and happiness.
 
I heard of it earlier. It happened very quickly in the end. I only think - at least suffering of past week is over for him. It worsens for his family however. How cruel. May God give them strength. Eternal rest grant onto him. I guess God will judge us all.
