Hmmm… I wonder if this could be Criminal Tresspassing?

Mepkin Abbey stood by their product on a response on their Web site, saying the operation had been certified in October 2006 by the United Egg Producers, the country’s largest trade group for commercial egg farmers.
A spokesman for the United Egg Producers called the PETA accusations a publicity stunt. The abbey’s operation is certified, with inspectors ensuring the birds are handled properly and have the necessary water, food, cage space, air quality, and transportation, trade group spokesman Mitch Head said.
Mary Jeffcoat, a spokeswoman for the abbey, said the monks follow the guidelines of the trade association, which are used by 80 percent of all egg producers in the country.

While I might wish the monastery did not use factory egg production, the monastery would not be able to economically compete. The monastery has to be able to support itself and boutique operations, while nice, aren’t generally practical.

I imagine PETA will be generally anti-Christian anyway? They apparently regularly put down large numbers of animals themselves anyway, so they are hypocrites!
