Convalidated At Last!

Yesterday was the day I was quite anxious about, because of the self consciouss feelings I had been experiencing since I discovered last year that in order for me to get Confirmed, I first had to have my civil marriage blessed. Long story short, I am so proud to finally have the Sacrament of Marriage and now I can really focus on the upcoming joy of April 15, when I am Confirmed! If I had even been aware when I was married eight years ago, I would have certainly gotten married by the Church. Oh, the ignorance of poor/no Catechism!

I also got my tax refund today!
 
:amen: my sister went through an annulment with her first marriage, so I know it must’ve been a trying time for you.

Thanks! No annulment was needed, but the Convalidation kept getting put off for six months and it really made me anxious. I kept sensing that people would look down on me and be judgmental. But who cares about them? I righted another wrong of my old life and feel great.
