Does anyone know of a novena that is to be prayed for the conversion of a particular person to the Catholic faith? I know there are a couple to St. Monica, but those seem written more for someone who has left the faith or is in a life of sin, as St. Augustine was. I’m thinking more of something meant for someone who may be a Christian, but is firm in an anti-Catholic outlook.

Dear Lord,
You became man, suffered and died to win salvation for all souls.
Look graciously on the soul of my loved one who has drifted away from you and the faith. Grant (name) your grace to see the error of his/her ways and return to the fold in your care.
Teach me to stay close to (name) during this trying time and strive to convert him/her by action and prayers more than words that may antagonize.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, I trust in You to do everything to bring my loved one back to you. Amen.

I seem to remember having a chaplet of conversion, but can’t seem to put my hand on it right now. God BLess

I couldn’t find any to recommend, but maybe the Holy Spirit (since conversion is His work), or St. Joseph-patron of the Universal Church.

While we should always pray for the spiritual good of our friends and acquaintances, we should especially pray more for the conversion of ourselves.

Ever seen the “Chaplet of Conversion”? It is really quite beautiful but seems to be geared toward conversion of sinners…but aren’t we all?:o This can be said on regular rosary beads. Let me know if you would like me to post it…I would be more than happy to. You might also consider asking Our Lord for this favor via the “Chaplet of Divine Mercy”. He did tell St. Faustina that He would grant whatever asked if it be in line with His Divine Will, if one would say it especially at 3:00 PM. I myself have found both of these to be really quite powerful.

Yes, I would appreciate it very much if you would post the Chaplet of Conversion. I am already very familiar with the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, but not the Chaplet of Conversion.

The reason I started this thread is that lately I’ve discovered many novenas for specific types of intentions, but have been surprised there isn’t a commonly used one for the conversion of someone to the unity of the Catholic Faith. I do realize, of course, that one can, and should, pray for the conversion of oneself and for others and can do so using any formula (or with spontaneous prayer). However, I love the beauty of some of the commonly available novenas, and was just curious if anyone knew of one specifically intended for that.

I often entrust intentions related to the conversion of Protestants I know to St. Francis de Sales. For one thing, he’s my patron saint, and he was used by God to convert tens of thousands of Protestants back to the unity of the Catholic Faith.

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions.

Off to confession in a few minutes, but will post it later on when I get a minute.
