Well it would appear that you know where the parties are; if they are in that area, the matter becomes something more than an intellectual exercise.

The information in the thread is fascinating. I am RC but have been to Ruthenian and Maronite Rites, and wish more Catholics would avail themselves of attending.

the CSI (Church of South India)… are they technically like the Episcopal Church of India? is it true they are in communion with the Mar Thoma church?
Yes they are, and Mar Thoma Syrian church is in communion the CSI Church. The Anglican church functions kind like the Catholic church, with regional churches recieving some autonomy. Then there is the Mar Thoma Syrian Church which is in communion, but not under the Archbishop of Canterbury

so both the CSI and Mar Thoma churches have a similar theology. but the CSI liturgy is of Latin origin and the Mar Thoma liturgy is of West Syriac origin? so the Mar Thoma people in the US… if they aren’t near a Mar Thoma church… would they go to a Episcopal/Anglican church then? In a sense I see them as “Eastern Anglican” if that can be used.
