For my son Kevin, that he may come back to the church, with a softened heart and a strong desire to do God’s will.

Dear St. Monica,
troubled wife and mother,
many sorrows pierced your heart during your lifetime.
Yet, you never despaired or lost faith.
With confidence, persistence, and profound faith,
you prayed daily for the conversion
of your beloved husband, Patricius,
and your beloved son, Augustine;
your prayers were answered.
Grant me that same fortitude, patience,
and trust in the Lord.
Intercede for me, dear St. Monica,
that God may favorably hear my plea for Kevin
and grant him the grace to accept His Will in all things,
through Jesus Christ, our Lord,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, forever and ever.

Amen.

I will pray for Kevin.

Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Dear God,

Lead this man who has strayed from You back to You, and to his mother.
Faith is a difficult thing to profess, and I pray, for all men, the strength and foresight to have faith in You. In this society where few things are precious or sacred, and much is available in abundance, we feel detached from you, or from our need of You. Let us not forget that we shall need you. Always. And remind us when we think we are invincible, or that we have nothing to lose. You have many fantastic ways of doing that.

In the standard of the cross, in God’s name, in His Son, and in the Holy Ghost, all of the saints, blessed, and beloved departed, grant this prayer. Amen.

O Lord, Holy Father, omnipotent and eternal God, I give You thanks and I bless Your holy name. I know I’m a poor miserable sinner but hear a cause that is just, turn your ear to my prayer. Amen

Prayers for your intentions….

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins. Save us from the fires of Hell; lead all souls into Heaven, especially those in most need of Thy mercy. Amen.

Lord Jesus, hear my prayers. Amen

“If God brings it to you- God will bring you through it.”

Praying for your son, Kevin. That Jesus will come into his heart, his life…

O my Redeemer, will that dreadful time ever come, when but few Christians shall be left
who are inspired by the spirit of faith, that time when Thine anger shall be provoked
and Thy protection shall be take away from us? Have our vices and our evil lives
irrevocably moved Thy justice to take vengeance, perhaps this very day,
upon Thy children?
O Thou, the beginning and end of our faith, we conjure Thee, in the bitterness of our contrite and humbled hearts, not to suffer the fair light of faith to be extinguished in us.
Remember Thy mercies of old, turn Thine eyes in mercy upon the vineyard planted by Thine own right hand, and watered by the sweat of the Apostles, by the precious blood of countless Martyrs and by the tears of so many sincere penitents, and made fruitful by the prayers of so many Confessors and innocent Virgins.
O divine Mediator, look upon those zealous souls who raise their hearts to Thee and pray ceaselessly for the maintenance of that most precious gift of Thine, the true faith. We beseech Thee, O God of justice, to hold back the decree of our rejection, and to turn away Thine eyes from our vices and regard instead the adorable Blood shed upon the Cross, which purchased our salvation and daily intercedes for us upon our altars.
Keep us safe in the true Catholic and Roman faith. Let sickness afflict us, vexations waste us, misfortunes overwhelm us! But preserve in us Thy holy faith; for if we are rich with this precious gift, we shall gladly endure every sorrow, and nothing shall ever be able to change our happiness.
O Jesus, author of our faith, let me live for Thee and die for Thee.
Amen
