CCC §1423 speaking of the “sacrament of conversion.” I thought it was called reconciliation. Is there something deeper going on inside? I know after pennance my conscience seems to be sharpened.

The second sentence of that paragraph calls it “the Sacrament of penance.” It goes by different names which emphasize different aspects (it is also called Confession).
That’s just a handful of names (I’m sure I’m missing some). There must be a hundred terms that describe Eucharist I would not know where to begin!
